8 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Aug 4)

4. Just A Good Match

Chris Bey and Rohit Raju vs. TJP and Fallah Bahh was nothing short of a decent match. Assuming this is building towards an X Division Championship match at Emergence between Bey and TJP, however, then it's a perfect way to hype up such a title bout.

The reigning champion mostly found himself on the defensive side throughout this one, with the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion using all manner of manoeuvres to wear down 'The Ultimate Finesser', particularly focusing on his arm in an attempt to prevent either of Bey's signature moves coming out. An arm snap that would make Pentagon Jr. proud set the champ up for a cross armbar finish as he submitted to the artist formerly known as Manik, meaning TJP is well within his rights to stake a claim at the gold.

Add in the fact that Rohit Raju was actually used decently (for the most part, anyway) for the first time in about 160 days, and there's nothing to really complain about here. As is typically the case, mixing the super heavyweight Fallah Bahh with three more agile performers does have the potential to cause some issues to arise, but there wasn't much space for such a thing here. Raju took care of Bahh for the most part, with Fallah then preventing 'The Desi Hitman' from assisting Bey in nailing his finisher at the conclusion of the bout.

All in all, a fine way to build towards Emergence, assuming it does so of course.
