8 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Victory Road 2020

3. Unhinged

Having the TNA World Heavyweight Championship forcefully taken away from him has done things to Moose that your writer never thought possible. His match with Trey Miguel marked the first time 'Mr Impact Wrestling' had wrestled in an Impact ring since 18 August, the night the title was stolen from him after he, coincidentally, defeated Miguel to retain.

From the moment the bell rang, Moose ran through 'The Fresh Prince of Mid-Air', chucking him around the ring with ease. There were moments where Trey snuck in a bit of offence, but the majority of the bout was the former NFL athlete dominating the treehouse resident. That was, until an EC3 logo appeared on the screens, allowing Miguel to roll Moose up for the surprise victory.

Storming backstage to the production truck, Moose found himself eventually laid out next to some candles that surrounded his beloved TNA title, as 'The Essential Character' reminded him of Tuesday's 'funeral of the century'. For the first time since he took the title, we saw EC3 get physical with Moose. It may have been for a split second, however, it was a necessary second at this point in the story.

From this writer's perspective, the funeral for the championship is the most appealing thing advertised for the upcoming episode of Impact as there are a few ways it could play out. The end result is what ultimately matters most, so it needs to play out to perfection. More of what we saw here, and less of what we've had in recent weeks.
