2. Uneasy Allies Come To Blows

On the whole, Damian Priest and LA Knight have been doing a good job of coming across as babyfaces who respect what the other man can do but don’t necessarily get along. They're totally different as people, and that's fine. Not everybody has to get along with others just because they're fellow faces or heels. It's more realistic and human if wrestlers act like real folks and not just robots in a video game.

Priest and Knight's work opposite Jacob Fatu and Solo Silo was fab on Friday. There was constant dissension between them throughout the match, then they traded strikes post-win after going from partners back to United States Title enemies. This whole four-way situation for Jacob's belt is heating up nicely ahead of Backlash. More on that in a bit.

It'd be deserved to single out Knight and Priest for what they've been doing over the past couple of weeks though. They've been uneasy allies who clearly don't really want to team up together but know they can help one another out when faced with monsters like Fatu. That's important, and so was the way they naturally slid back into being at loggerheads once the tag was old news.

Finally, Solo eating another pin when he claims he’s trying to help Jacob will only feed into their impending split story. It's looking more and more likely that Sikoa will try to cost a family member some gold soon, then Fatu will moonsault him into oblivion. Those moves will look so crisp it'd be more accurate to call it Oblivion Remastered.

Bring on that and more US Title merriment.
