8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (16 Mar)

Downs...

3. Rushing To FTR vs. The Young Bucks II

By rushing through FTR's split from Tully Blanchard and the apparent reprisal of their Young Bucks feud, AEW is undermining things that should feel bigger and more important.

Jettisoning Blanchard last week was for the betterment of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, to whom the former Horseman was no longer as much of a complimentary piece, but they blew through that segment and did the same with another last night. After contemplating what they were going to do next, a brief spat with the Bucks led to the Jackson brothers asserting that FTR would always be second best.

The Bret Hart teases were nice. Beyond that, this was blink-and-you'll-miss-it stuff from two top AEW tag teams. Economy at the cost of substance.
