8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (16 Mar)

Thunder Rosa dethrones Britt Baker as Women's World Champion, MJF screws Wardlow & more!

While All Elite Wrestling entered last night's episode of Dynamite with the prospect of two cathartic babyface title wins on deck, only the greedy would have expected both.

As interesting as pretty much every conceivable fantasy booking scenario was, with Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker and Wardlow vs. Scorpio Sky, the predictable outcomes were ultimately the best outcomes. One signifies the end of a long-term storyline that has been bouncing in and out of focus for over a year, the other expedites something that has been brewing for even longer, now taken to a new level by a heel scorned.

While the Women's World and TNT Title matches took top billing, this was a solid Dynamite across the board. Brought to another level by the phenomenal San Antonio crowd, who were in fine voice throughout, its flaws were minor and its strengths consistent.

The Hardys' first televised tag team match in three years, Adam Cole and reDRagon vs. Jurassic Express and Adam Page, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley's latest tandem violence party, and the Jericho Appreciation Society's commencement segment rounded off the pre-show marketing push.

Let's light the fuse...
