A light drizzle rather than a thunderstorm, Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa's victory over Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose was awkward for extended periods.

Shafir, unfortunately, has thus far failed to marry her cold, stoic demeanour to in-ring fluidity. Her MMA background gives her some interesting tools to play with but her offense felt staged and cooperative, with her opponents visibly moving themselves into position on several occasions and her transitions far from the smoothest. It's a shame, and not necessarily her fault, as she's still a very inexperienced wrestler with plenty of potential - but she needs reps. The promise is there, but The Problem is yet to capture it.

The heels borderline missed the babyfaces in their attempts at clobbering them at the opening bell, which set the bout off to a rough start. Nyla Rose, however, was extremely entertaining, from her control period to her gesticulations after whacking Storm across the back with an umbrella. She didn't take the pin, either: Shafir was put down after Toni spiked Rosa's package Tombstone.

The right destination, even if the journey was a little bumpy.
