8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Feb 17)

1. Cassidy Beats Luther Easily

Orange Cassidy's quick win over The Original Death Dealer Dr. Luther AKA The Japanese Deathmatch Legend was likely done to prove Freshly Squeezed can hang with a bigger guy ahead of his expected clash with Miro, but was it really necessary? OC is tiny. Everyone he wrestles is bigger than him and while Luther has considerably more body mass, he doesn't exactly work like a hoss.

Cassidy swam against the tide as Luther attacked him at the bell, recovering to hit the Orange Punch for the win. It was reasonably well-worked, but again, it didn't need to exist.

Worse still is that there wasn't an angle to accompany it. Kip Sabian, Miro, and Penelope Ford are supposedly livid at the wedding going south the other week, but continue to do nothing about it. It was a meek promo last week and a no-show last night. Are they upset or not?

It doesn't seem they are.
