The Inner Circle addressed every important talking point in their backstage segment, with each talker cutting a good promo in an effective piece-mover.

Santana and Ortiz were fired up for their first Tag Team Title shot 18 months after arrival, with Santana promising they were there to collect. MJF, meanwhile, ripped into Sammy Guevara, claiming he was too paranoid to nut up and apologise. This drew the ire of Chris Jericho. 'Le Champion' knew that Max had been trying to goad Sammy into going over the edge, so part of this was MJF's fault. The majority of it, however, was Sammy's, as while Jericho wanted the two to get into each other's face to make themselves better, Max realised this while Guevara did not.

Now, Jericho never wants to hear Guevara's name again.

Sammy saying he needed some time away from Daily's Place last week meant we were never going to hear from him on this show. In his absence, MJF and Jericho put further heat on the split, prioritising that over the Santana/Ortiz title match, which played into Ortiz' post-bout exasperation later on.
