8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 27)

6. MJF: The M Stands For Magnifique

This week's obligatory Good MJF Promo was pretaped and focused on 'The Salt of the Earth' addressing his lack of title shots in AEW so far.

Citing his year-long undefeated streak, MJF said he was starting to think that somebody in the office didn't like him. When he heard AEW was hosting a battle royal to give a certain somebody a number one contender, he decided to enter to ensuring Cody had good competition and with Wardlow in there as an insurance policy, the duo were going to make it all the way to the final two.

Tensions flared as Wardlow opened his mouth for the first time. MJF immediately got in his face before playing it off as a joke, though the big man clearly had designs on winning the bout himself, going against his benefactor's orders.

It feels too early to be teasing a Wardlow/MJF split at the moment, though passing strong judgment on it would be a kneejerk at this stage. Let's be patient and see how it plays out. For now, an effective heel promo makes the Ups side of the column.
