8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Sep 23)

4. In Your Face

Jon Moxley Eddie Kingston
AEW

Eddie Kingston hollaring down a microphone is almost an instant Up at this point, though the impromptu AEW World Title challenger cut a belting promo on Jon Moxley after the opening match, letting everyone who hadn't been following along on social media what was going down.

King asserted that he didn't just deserve his World Title shot because he wasn't eliminated from the Casino Battle Royale, but for his 18 years of graft. Him and Mox used to be cut from the same cloth, he said, but while the champ went off to the land of Sports Entertainers, he stayed with the fighters and outlaws, refusing to sell his soul.

Kingston wanted to look into the Sports Entertainer's eyes, so out came Moxley, going forehead-to-forehead with his new challenger in a suitably intense face-off before the main event.

Short and simple, this, with Kingston's believability shining through once more. Nobody in professional wrestling feels more authentic than him.
