8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 15)

Ups...

8. World Champion Material

The Karl Anderson we saw at Final Resolution and on last night's Impact Wrestling is the Karl Anderson we forgot existed. Having spent years being held back in WWE, 'The Machine Gun' reminded everyone of the Karl Anderson who made it to the finals of the 2012 New Japan G1 Climax. As both Ethan Page and Chris Sabin have since learned, it's a version of Karl you don't want to get on the wrong side of.

This came after Anderson was again on the receiving end of a pep talk from Kenny Omega and Don Callis following The Motor City Machine Guns' promo regarding the World Tag Team Championships. And while Karl initially backed away from the former tag champs when confronted backstage, he got one over on Sabin in the ring later on. If you've only been subjected to WWE's portrayal of Karl Anderson, you would have been amazed at the scenes.

While he's currently enjoying a run as one half of the Impact World Tag Team Champions, Karl Anderson has all the tools needed to be World Champion. It wouldn't make sense for it to happen right now, but further down the line? Don't be too surprised to see him pushed towards the big leagues.
