8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 8)

5. The Two Tonys

While Kenny Omega's Impact appearance had been pre-hyped, the same can't be said for Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. The CEO and commentator pairing surprisingly popped up on our screens after the first match with an advertisement paid for by All Elite Wrestling, with Khan essentially ribbing Impact, going so far as to say there were rumours he was out to buy the company.

The AEW president ran through the AEW Dynamite card for tonight's show, going over the feature attractions, with Schiavone standing next to him, saying few words. He did, however, make a cheeky comment with regards to him leaving the wrestling business for eighteen years after working one show for the then-TNA.

Of course, the entire segment was done tongue-in-cheek, but it worked regardless. Khan and Schiavone worked perfectly together, as the former was a cocky tw*t, whereas the latter was the straight man of the skit. We'll get to 'The Cleaner's' appearance a little later on, but if this is what we can expect from an AEW/Impact relationship, then sign us up.
