8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 8)

4. Setting The Semifinals

Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie became the fourth and final team to advance to the semifinals of the Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament following their win over Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee, with 'The Demon Assassin' pinning Lee in the process to cement the win, and also earning herself a Knockouts Championship opportunity against Deonna at Final Resolution.

It was a well-booked match as well. 'The Virtuosa' and 'The Crown Jewel' kept Valkyrie at bay in their corner for two thirds of the contest, wearing down the longest-reigning Knockouts Champion before she got too close to tagging in Rosemary. Once 'The Leader of the Hivelings' was eventually tagged in, though, she came in all guns blazing against the Knockouts Champion and her curator. A neat exploded suplex was a nice highlight, before a Wing Clipper to Kimber - following an accidental bicycle kick from Purrazzo, by the way - meant she and 'Wera Loca' advanced.

Rosemary and Taya now go on to face Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz in the semifinals, just two wins away from becoming the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions. What's nice is that there's a bit of history between those two tandems, something that will hopefully be brought back up in the tournament once they collide. There isn't much beef, granted, but it's beef regardless - it can't just be ignored.
