4. Keep This Up

To help fill out this week's post-Hard To Kill episode, Impact aired a four way X Division Championship match from a House of Hardcore event on 23 November that saw Ace Austin defend against Eddie Edwards, Fallah Bahh, and Moose. If we're talking about the history, yes, there's a bit of animosity between Austin and Edwards, between Edwards and Moose, and between Bahh and Moose. However, with all three of those rivalries being over, there wasn't a single reason as to why this specific match was chosen to air.

With that said, it was handy that a couple of promos from Moose and Eddie aired throughout the show, as they helped add at least a bit of story to the match. Moose stated that he wasn't scared of anyone in the match, saying he's beaten both Bahh and Edwards on more than one occasion, while saying that he's simply bigger than Austin. Sometimes, the simpler solutions are the better ones. Meanwhile, Eddie was looking forward to tying it up in the land of the extreme, wanting to add more hardware to his collection.

The promos weren't anything too flashy, but they added more hype to a match that didn't previously have much of a story in terms of the bout itself. Sure, there was history amongst the competitors, but that's not always enough to make a compelling championship contest. Speaking of the title match...
