3. The Miz & Daniel Bryan Not Getting Along

Look at this, two tropes shattered in the same show. Daniel Bryan gave Sami Zayn a definitive no, then he bickered mid-ring with The Miz before his Survivor Series match with Bray Wyatt was established. Are WWE finally realising that ye olde shades of grey (albeit not 50 of them) can work?

Fingers crossed they are.

It was perfectly logical that Bryan and Miz, who are age-old enemies, wouldn't get along on Miz TV. Miz behaved himself at first before cracking when Bryan wouldn't answer his questions. The way he slipped back into his old heel character was genius, and the fact he refused to insult fan intelligence by being all buddy-buddy with Daniel made it even better.

Miz had a go at an old foe because he could. He sensed vulnerability and leapt right on Bryan's case without giving him an inch. That insufferable personality trait laid the foundations for Daniel's spirited follow-up promo to come.
