8 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown (15 Nov)

1. Wyatt Turning The 'Yes Movement' Against Daniel Bryan

There's an unnerving quality to Bray Wyatt that ensures he'll recover from Rollins-gate 2K19. Towards the end of SmackDown, Wyatt stole Daniel Bryan's "Yes!" catchphrase and repeated it until fans in Philadelphia quieted and seemed almost ashamed of themselves for chanting along with the Universal Champ.

His "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" refrain was as passionate as Bryan's promo had been before, and it served up some hidden ingenuity. By using Dan's own prior positivity against him (and, at least for a short spell, convincing fans to cheer along with him), Bray turned "Yes!" into a negative cloud hanging over his challenger's head.

That's talent.

There's more to come from this feud too post-Survivor Series. Bray hinted as much when he said Bryan should repent for pulling the wool over Wyatt's eyes back in 2013-2014. Long-term storytelling is the best kind of storytelling.
