Daniel Bryan might be wrestling's best tweener right now. He's playing both sides of the babyface/heel divide like an expert pro, and he's keeping everyone guessing with his behaviour and promos. His definitive answer for Sami Zayn this week kept things ticking and made him look more valuable.

WWE have a nasty habit of never concluding stories like this, so it was great to see an exception to that bizarre, long-standing tradition. He might not have told everyone what his "big announcement" was months ago, but Bryan was willing to tell Zayn and Nakamura to shove it. The bearded wonder won't be joining their little group.

It only took one simple, two-minute promo to answer a question that's been hanging in the WWE air for several weeks. That should be a lesson to creative that they can tie up stories without either pretending they didn't happen or going overboard.
