This didn’t technically take place on IMPACT Wrestling itself, but we’d be remiss to not talk about Havok and Nevaeh.
The former tag partners had a match on Before The IMPACT prior to the IMPACT broadcast last night, a match that Havok was victorious in. She completely decked Nevaeh, pinning her off a Nia Jax-esque running legdrop. There are many reasons for this being a Down.
The pair’s rivalry could have been something meaningful in IMPACT’s knockouts division, providing further depth to the division away from the two championships on offer. That they’re only singles bout in the company was on a minor show is a Down itself. That this will be the only match in their rivalry, though, is a whole different story.
Nevaeh is done in IMPACT Wrestling now. She tweeted as such straight after the match aired, thanking the company for the past year. While you can look at this as a genuinely great independent talent spending a year making a name for herself in a major American promotion, it’s a travesty this Havok and Nevaeh arc is a) already over, and b) never ended on the main IMPACT broadcast, or even a pay-per-view.
