8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (10 Mar - Results & Review)
4. Logan Plays ‘Jackass’ Well
There’s a lot that could be said about Logan Paul as a human being, but the only measurement that matters here is his performance on television.
Fortunately, playing an odious human being comes naturally to Logan, who ginned up the New York audience by taking swipes at AJ Styles, Cody Rhodes, and John Cena before telling The Rock that his soul is for sale. He then taunted the fans, saying he’s the celebrity, the talent that everyone paid to watch.
Paul went a step too far when he tried engaging with comedian Andrew Schulz in the front row, but when Schulz said that no one was here to see Logan, the Maverick yanked him over the barricade and threw him into the ring, prompting Styles to run down for the save, delivering a Phenomenal Forearm.
The entire segment was no different on paper than 100 other segments WWE has done on Raw through the years with a heel about to beat up a celebrity, legend, or manager, only for the hero to run down to make the save. This one ended with Madison Square Garden chanting for AJ Styles, something that might have felt a bit wishful thinking a couple of months ago.
That’s how good of a heel Logan Paul can be at times. This segment was better than it had any right being.
