3. Bowling Shoe Ugly

Rhea Ripley Maxxine Dupri

Jim Ross certainly would have pulled out one of his favorite phrases had he been calling the Rhea Ripley/Maxxine Dupri match Monday night.

Ripley dismantled Dupri in a match that was simultaneously mercifully short and still long enough to completely expose Maxxine as not ready for a televised match. Dupri botched taking a powerbomb, messed up a hurricanrana, threw and ugly dropkick, and dead-weighted Rhea on a Riptide – all in the span of about 60 seconds.

The gag of Dupri being a novice who has learned under Chad Gable worked when she only had to hit one or two moves and then get out of the ring, but having to actually wrestle a sequence and bump for an opponent proved to be too much.

Rhea needed a dominant win like this, but this was such an ugly match that it will never be seen again. The only redeeming factor was the post-bout staredown between Ripley and Ivy Nile, setting up a match that should be an interesting collision.
