8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 9 - Review)
3. ‘He’s Wearing A $500 Off-White Flannel’
Who could have predicted that it would be the Miz who would expose Dominik Mysterio’s prison escapade as little more than a cameo in lockup?
Dom and the rest of Judgment Day appeared on Miz TV, with Mysterio dressed like Konnan to great effect. Corey Graves was in his glory using every prison cliché he could cram into 45 seconds. Dominik took it a step further, noting that “the one thing I learned in prison is that you always roll with your crew” before dropping the ultimate prison cliché, “snitches get stitches.”
Mysterio talked about being locked up with the world’s most dangerous people, not knowing when his next meal was coming, and being forced to take matters into his own hands with his cellmate, trying to sound like a hardened criminal for trespassing at his parent’s house over Christmas.
But Miz revealed that Dom was only in county jail for a few short hours before being released, which meant he probably never even got to the prison yard. The best line, noted above, came while Miz cowered from the entire Judgment Day, pointing out the designer flannel before retracting his accusation that Dominik was barely in prison long enough to grab one hot, much less three hots and a cot.
Just wonderfully funny stuff, with Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley backing up Mysterio’s fantastic prison tales and consoling the barely hardened criminal.
