4. KO Saves Us From Boredom And The Bloodline

One thing that seems pretty safe right now is that Kevin Owens has hit his stride.

Owens has always been sharp in the ring and on the mic, but he’s really feeling it right now in his battle against the Bloodline. KO started out by rewarding fans for suffering through a JBL and Baron Corbin promo, burying his face in the turnbuckle while the two prattled on about nothing, which he said put him in a coma.

KO then beat Corbin cleanly to shut him up for the night. He then managed to fend off an attack by the Usos and Solo Sikoa, driving the three brothers off with a steel chair. Owens seethed and paced in the ring afterwards, begging them to come back and fight some more.

It’s the kind of raw emotion and aggression that fans can rally behind, and they very clearly are invested in this story, even if they don’t think Owens is going to defeat Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
