8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 9 - Review)

3. A Dying Quail

Nothing will rally fans around a babyface like giving them nearly no promo time and having them lose a bunch.

Oh wait, that’s sarcasm.

Michin followed up her “saving” of Becky Lynch last week (and losing the tag match) by losing a one-on-one match with Bayley Monday night, giving her a less-than-stellar start to 2023. Oh, and then she got jumped backstage by Damage CTRL and no one came to her aid.

This isn’t to say that Mia Yim should be protected above Lynch or Bayley, but it’s just a pretty crappy look with the OC missing their leader AJ Styles for a while that Michin comes out of the gate looking like Damage CTRL’s b****. What’s worse is that Michin has had barely any character development, so there really isn’t a lot of reason for fans to care about her.

Here’s hoping Lynch is back next week to provide proper backup and make these couple of weeks make sense.
