8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 9 - Review)

Ups…

8. Lashley Returns

Bobby Lashley made his way back to Raw Monday night, dispatching with a former rival and setting his sights on the Royal Rumble.

With his suspension lifted, the All Mighty walked to the ring after Seth Rollins had confronted Austin Theory, walking past the Drip God and stalking the United States Champion. Lashley wasted little time in putting Theory down with a spear and then tossing him out of the ring.

Then, seemingly moving past this feud over the US title, Lashley noted that it was Rumble season and he was back to manhandle everyone. That was a very simple way to get his revenge on Theory without having to become entangled in a secondary title feud. Instead, the former world champion can focus on the main title and whatever storylines come from the Rumble.

While Lashley’s return wasn’t earth-shattering, his presence almost always adds to Raw, so having him back is a boon.
