8 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 1)

6. We Are Nobodies

No, not the old theme used by Decay.

After again being the victim of a beatdown at the hands of Eric Young and Joe Doering, The Deaners had to take a bit of time to reflect on themselves. While Cousin Jake firmly believes the pair were a 'we' problem, it was Cody Deaner who stole the show here, stating Young and Doering was a 'he' problem.

You see, the history between Cody and Eric goes back to Deaner's first day of wrestling school. It was Deaner who drove Young to their first shows together - they were riding partners, friends, hell, Cody even classed Young as family. That's why this means so much to Cody Deaner. For once, The Deaners weren't the butt of a joke.

It's amazing the level of energy you can feel from one segment. It's doubtful this will lead to anything major for The Deaners in Impact Wrestling, but if they can have the tiniest bit of aura surrounding them for just one week, then it's enough. You really felt for Cody here - something we've never been able to do previously.
