8 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling Slammiversary 2020
2. Bullet Through The Surprise
Perhaps the main reason for Slammiversary being one of the more anticipated wrestling pay-per-views of the year is the sheer amount of surprises that have been teased coming into the event. One of those teases has been The Good Brothers pairing of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, who had been rumoured to have signed Impact contracts a few weeks ago.
This easily could have been one of the more major surprises at Slammiversary, particularly because Dez and Wentz of The Rascalz issued an open challenge just days before the event. 'The Machine Gun' and 'The Big LG' could've easily still answered that challenge, but it simply wouldn't have felt as big compared to the duo showing up unannounced.
Overall, the official arrival of Gallows and Anderson to Impact was excellent. Whether or not they stay aligned with Eddie Edwards heading out of this pay-per-view, the former five-team Tag Team Champions have a place to call home in Impact Wrestling.
However, we can't shy away from the fact Impact ruined this surprise on their social media accounts prior to the event, showing the former Bullet Club members in an Impact ring, fresh off signing two-year contracts with the company.
