8 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (4 Mar - Results & Review)

7. The Only Logical Finish

Liv Morgan Becky Lynch
WWE

As mentioned in last week’s column, Becky Lynch vanquishing Nia Jax before WrestleMania might make sense from a completist’s point of view, but it would short-circuit a perfect post-Mania feud if The Man emerges victorious from her match against Rhea Ripley.

Having an insurmountable opponent provides Lynch with good fodder for manic, obsessive tendencies. Beating Jax clean would make sense if WrestleMania was the end of Becky’s journey, not the beginning of a new one.

When Liv Morgan interfered and cost Becky the match, it absolved WWE of having to give away a possible title match, but then again, why book it in the first place?

What saved this was the immediate switch to Becky and Liv feuding over each other costing the other a match with Jax. Pulling Morgan into Lynch’s orbit as a speedbump on the road to WrestleMania has the potential to give Liv a bit of an edge while keeping Becks busy.

There’s always the very real possibility that Jax repays both of them next week and we’re just looking at a triple threat in the lead-up to Mania, but for this week, it gets a pass.
