2. Mei Ying Makes Light Work Of Ferry

In all honesty, anything less than what we ultimately got last night when it pertains to the in-ring debut of Mei Ying would have been nonsensical.

After months of building up this supernatural force as, well, a force to be reckoned with, Ying had to easily dispatch whoever was stood opposite her last night. Unfortunately for Virginia Ferry, she did just that.

Showcasing a diverse range of chops and chokes throughout, Ying also found a way to absorb a sleeper reversal like a zombie re-animating from the dead. In the end, the victory was secured via lacklustre one-armed choking submission, but this did all it needed to in making us understand she was a significant threat.

Looking at the way the likes of Karrion Kross or even Bray Wyatt have been butchered in recent memory, it's fair to say hopes aren't high for this sort of act in the long run. But for now, Ying offers something different to the black and gold brand, so fingers crossed she doesn't get lost in the shuffle come next week.
