8 Ups And 0 Downs From WWE NXT (Sep 7)

3. The Calm Before The In-Dex Storm

It may have been the fact that we weren't forced to endure another dud of a match finish or any more creepy, sorry, "romantic" moments between Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis on or off-site, but this week's In-Dex bachelor and bachelorette schtick actually entertained your writer. What a world.

In comparison to the go-kart and laser tag-filled nuttiness that took up the male portion of the festivities, it could be said that Hartwell's goodbye to single was a little underwhelming, with Cora Jade providing the appropriate foreshadowing of WWE weddings always going t*ts up being the only real highlight. But what that scene lacked in energy, the Cameron Grimes-funded bachelor party made up for in sheer barminess.

Ignoring the fact that Grimes chose to get over his beef with Lumis, well, just because the story needed it I suppose, the final pieces of a journey that started months earlier seem to have fallen into place at just the right time. Lumis and Johnny Gargano finally saw eye-to-eye, connecting with a prestigious high five after dispatching goobers at laser tag together. However, this happily ever after and bonding of The Way with Lumis seems to be setting the stage for a high level swerve in seven days time come wedding night.

The smart money is on a Lumis heel turn, taking out Gargano and breaking Hartwell's heart in the process. But would you bet against Hartwell being the master manipulator all along and turning on her "family" just as Candice LeRae and Johnny finally find peace in their relationship?

Pinch me, this sh*t just got interesting.
