8 Ups And 1 Down For WWE NXT (May 4)

Which WWE superstars walked out of this week's show with the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships?

You wanted the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships to mean something? Booking a street fight you could put up against anything the wrestling world has offered up in the last few weeks isn't a bad way to start.

Away from finally realising what the women of NXT can bring to the table when given the tag team chance, another fierce fight between two blood rivals also rolled into the CWC this week as Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott and Leon Ruff finally settled the score in a Falls Count Anywhere brawl. Spoiler: they'll both likely be in need of some ice today.

Gigantic epics in just seven days time were built towards too, with Raquel Gonzalez and Mercedes Martinez both proving that it's possible to host a two-person interview without feeling like you're watching an amateur stage play. However, not every top title found itself given the attention it deserved/needed, with a certain Doom Bringer still lacking a clear challenger coming into his fourth week as NXT Champion.

We'll not get too hung up on the negatives, however, because that show-closer, along with a few other notable displays from newcomers and established faces alike, made for a night to remember as the black and gold brand appeared to finally find its footing... for the most part.
