6. Riddle’s Golden Call-Out

For those who have paid attention, Matt Riddle has made no bones about his dislike for Goldberg.

The Original Bro trashed the WWE Hall-of-Famer after his debacle of a performance at Super Showdown this summer, bashing him on social media multiple times. This led to a tense run-in that was recounted by Riddle on WWE’s YouTube page. None of this really has happened in WWE canon, but all of it could come into play after what happened Saturday.

During his match with Finn Balor at TakeOver, Riddle countered an attempted shotgun dropkick with a spear, then followed it up with a Jackhammer. That was about as clear a call-out as you can get.

Riddle lost the match cleanly, but it certainly seemed like he was angling for a match with the former WCW legend. If this comes to pass, it could be a fun trainwreck.
