3. KUSHIDA Gets His Gargano

Johnny Gargano seemed to be on top of the world when faced with a set of enjoyable questions from substitute NXT Backstage Interviewer Alyse Ashton. However, his mood soon flipped when it was revealed that the North American Champion would be defending his belt against KUSHIDA at TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

Determined to get Ashton sacked for spreading fake news, Gargano was then met with his upcoming opponent, who was in the middle of a meeting with William Regal. The pair inevitably began brawling after the challenger declared Gargano required an appointment, leading to KUSHIDA smashing the Champion's arm to bits.

Giving KUSHIDA a shot at the belt makes all the sense in the world right now as the exciting star has been on a tear for months in NXT. Strapping and allowing him to put on weekly bangers with rising stars and the black and gold brand's seasoned veterans is one way to go. But even if this is simply a one and done defence for The Way's leader, expect a little bit of magic once they collide in a few weeks time.
