7. Imperium Strike

It's been a few weeks since Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe crossed paths backstage and the latter scoffed at what the former had become, claiming the star now carrying Drake Maverick around like a child "used to be a monster".

In the wake of Dain and Maverick's demoralising defeat at the hands of the new (totally over) NXT Tag Team Champions last night, we finally seemed to get a continuation of this burgeoning storyline. Judging from Imperium's sudden assault on Dain post-match, it's clear the clean-cut unit have their sights firmly set on the former SAnitY member, with Toothless Timmy Thatcher likely on their radar still too.

What's yet to be made known, however, is whether Imperium are looking to recruit Dain and Thatch to their all-conquering faction or if the lads just want to make an example out of the two.

We'll no doubt get some more clarity on this in the coming weeks, but colour us intrigued at this moment...
