2. Mandy Rose's Big Reveal Clutters Tag Action
Over the last few weeks, Mandy Rose and her dynamic duo of Gigi Dolin and Jaycee Jane have took it upon themselves to make various examples out of the likes of Sarray and Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter - the former attack coming after Sarray dropkicked Rose's face out of this universe.
So, instead of just simply booking a 3-on-3 between the women this week, NXT decided to give us a tag match between the KC's and Dolin and Jane, only to have that fairly watchable effort get thrown out by Rose's big, game-changing reveal; that being a different hair colour. Well, at least this means we've escaped more disfigured masked heel nonsense.
But, seriously, would it have been so difficult to just have Rose pull off her hood on the ramp, drink in the audible gasp, and then get straight to the eventual 3-on-3 that found its way onto the card after Sarray saved the day post-Rose forced DQ finish anyway? How odd.
It must be said, however, that said 6-woman match was a hoot. Rose pounded the crap out of Kacy for fun. Dolin and Jane are deliciously despicable henchwomen. And Sarray dropkicking fools into oblivion will never not be entertaining. But the way we got here was just silly.
Rose ultimately got the win after a nasty jumping knee to Carter, and this unit does seem to have some legs. Could this lead to a Rose NXT Women's title win? Weirder things have happened.
