8 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Sep 14)

1. Who's Up For A Little Live Theatre?

It finally happened. The moment you've all been waiting arrived in a blaze of awkward glory as In-Dex officially tied the knot and Dexter Lumis threatened to kill half of the congregation mid-ceremony. Don't you just love love?

Despite trying their damndest to present this as an odd-couple romance that had overcome all the odds, the entire In-Dex romance angle has frequently come across as straight-up clunky and nonsensical time and time again. And in-keeping with that inconsistent run of form, after last week's admittedly fun bachelor break, we returned to business as usual as the wedding itself turned into amateur hour at the local improv club.

It literally felt as though Trips and the gang had told everyone involved to just go out there and "feel it". Only what they "felt" turned out to be awkward shoe-horning of new catchphrases, gimmicks, and alliances into every spare second. This was a tough watch at times. Though the reinforcement of just how over the likes of Odyssey Jones are was a welcome respite from the chaos.

Devoid of any legitimate drama, outside of a vicar being put to sleep, this whole pay-off felt like it was lacking just that: an actual pay-off. There wasn't a heel turn, twist, or back-stab in sight, with the happy couple actually getting their happy ending and the night ending on a rather limp note altogether.

Who gives a toss about crowning a new NXT champ, we have vows to read. Am I right? No, no I am not.
