8 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 20)

1. Really?!?

File this under “Dumb things writers who don’t watch wrestling script.”

Christian did an interview with Samoa Joe about Randy Orton and how dangerous he is, and he segued into talking about how he didn’t realize how the Legend Killer would “weaponize” Ric Flair to turn on him with a low blow before their unsanctioned match last month.

Wait, Christian was shocked that Flair resorted to underhanded tactics like a low blow? Ric Flair. The Dirtiest Player in the Game. Seriously? Flair literally built his entire persona and reputation on being the kind of guy who would turn on his own tag team partner if it benefited him.

Maybe if Ricky Steamboat turned on Christian we could buy the “I’m shocked this legend turned on me” line. But to not see Flair as capable of using a tactic like that, even a month after the fact? Come on.
