8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Aug 5)

4. Teasing Trish

It’s understandable that WWE didn’t need to have Trish Stratus wrestle on Raw Monday night. But to tease her as taking part in a tag match and then never tag in? That’s bordering on false advertising.

Michael Cole pointed out that Stratus hadn’t seen action on Raw in nearly a year (the night after Evolution), and the announcers noted that this could help shake some ring rust off the Hall-of-Famer. So naturally, Natalya worked the entire match, and the biggest bumps Trish took were her jumping off the apron to avoid Charlotte Flair hitting her and Nattie shoving her after the match.

Even if WWE didn’t want Trish to get too physical for whatever reason, she could have come in, hit a couple chops, nail a clothesline and tag out. This was just lazy.
