8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Aug 5)
7. A Better ‘Whodunit?’
Last week’s equipment avalanche that nearly buried Roman Reigns was laughable on multiple levels, and subsequent edits only moderately improved its appearance.
But Monday night, we got a better mystery attack segment, with Samoa Joe confronting Reigns in the parking lot, only for Roman to dive back into his car seconds before another vehicle plowed into his car. The scene was edited well, and they played it nicely, with Joe going from ready to fight Roman to yelling for a medic and pleading with his adversary to stay down until help arrived.
The problem, however, is that attempted vehicular homicide is a tough thing to book around. If it ends up being Daniel Bryan, it’s quite a leap from being the Planet’s Champion to attempting to run over Roman Reigns.
