3. Stunning In Defeat

Now that is how you elevate someone even in defeat.

Cedric Alexander has been battling Drew McIntyre in a mini-feud for the past several weeks, with the former Cruiserweight Champion getting the upper hand a couple times and really just earning respect by not backing down from the much bigger Scotsman.

But Monday, Alexander went toe-to-toe with McIntyre in a match that had fans fired up throughout. Cedric went right at Drew with a ton of offense, nailing a Lumbar Check on the floor and hitting a Spanish Fly from the top rope. But the bigger McIntyre was able to hit his own high-impact moves, nailing a wicked Claymore kick to secure the hard-fought victory.

Even though he lost, Alexander showed grit and heart in fighting McIntyre, and he clearly won over the fans, which was important. The big thing is that WWE doesn’t just stop there. If they are seriously trying to establish Cedric, he hopefully will pick up a couple wins in the coming weeks to get his footing quickly before this goodwill dissipates.
