The Elias experiment is back on hold.

A few months ago, we started seeing Elias shift from a pure heel to more of a tweener, taking shots at Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley, finally emerging as a babyface. After all, the reaction he was getting seemed to indicate fans were ready to cheer him. The problem is that they liked his material as-is, not the watered-down good guy version.

Monday, Elias veered back to heeldom, saying he had been testing fans, and that the needed to do better because they’re in the presence of greatness. The fans, to their credit, chanted, “We’re not worthy!” to reinforce that.

But then, Jeff Jarrett rejoined us, followed by the Road Dogg in a reunion not seen in more than 20 years in WWE. However, both legends would fall to Elias, who kabonged them both with guitars to knock them out. What a heel.
