We’ve seen this before, and it didn’t end well.

A generation ago, WWE experimented with a woman competing regularly against the men. The idea lasted for a little while, until it no longer was practical, and then Chyna was in trouble. She had beaten up men who were bigger than her, and suddenly she had to compete against women half her size.

Sound familiar?

Nia Jax, fresh off forcing her way into the men’s Royal Rumble and eating a superkick and an RKO, got in Dean Ambrose’s face Monday night, and then blasted him out of the ring (though he landed on his feet). After squaring off with a former WWE World Champion, Nia joined Tamina in battling… Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in tag team action.

Jax would impressively hit a double Samoan Drop for the win, but it just is confusing. Is Nia challenging men now, when she can’t beat women half her size, or is this some weird social experiment for WWE?
