8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 23)

7. AOP Throws A Curveball

Last week, we saw a taped promo from the Authors of Pain, which was a welcome sight – even if it was a strange deal to hear them just talk in English and subtitles.

Monday, they started off the same way, but immediately said they’d rather show us who they were rather than tell us. Akam and Rezar got up, walked out of the room and walked down the hallway, jumping two wrestlers (it looked like Heath Slater and No Way Jose, but was too quick to tell at a glance).

They then cut back to them sitting back down to finish the segment, saying no one wants to face AOP in the ring. It was a simple, yet very effective, way to re-establish a once-dominant tag team. Let’s hope they keep this going, because with Viking Raiders and The OC running around, there’s a decent chance to have a fun tag team division once again.
