8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (20 March - Review)

4. In Theory, This Should Be Better

Austin Theory versus John Cena could actually be an interesting program if WWE cared to explore it.

Cena cracked open the door during his evisceration of the United States Champion a couple weeks ago, noting that Austin is a younger version of himself at the same point in his career, still struggling to find his groove and place in WWE.

But since then, Cena has been absent, and all Theory has done is wave his hand in front of his face repeatedly and cut promos that boil down to, “I’ll show you at WrestleMania!” Sure, Theory picked up singles wins against Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford the past two weeks, but those wins seemed to highlight the Street Profits’ abilities in singles action more than establishing parity between Austin and Cena.

And Theory’s promo Monday night was as cookie-cutter as it could get. “You don’t believe in me, but at WrestleMania, you will.” WOW, sign us up dude.
