Can someone please revoke Edge’s creative control over this storyline?

After a pretty good overall build during the better part of a year, the Judgment Day/Edge storyline looks to be climaxing at WrestleMania 39 when the Rated-R Superstar faces Finn Balor inside Hell in a Cell. Judgment Day has tormented Edge for months, including beating up his wife Beth Phoenix and shelving her with a conchairto. Simple enough, right?

Nope. Apparently, we needed Edge in a candlelit room cutting an embarrassingly bad promo Monday night where he talked about being a hostile man who keeps his rage caged, but inside HIAC, that rage is caged no more. He was baptized inside the cell by the Undertaker. Edge quoted Bible verses and then told Finn to leave the man at home and bring his demon to meet Edge’s devil inside the cell.

All of this campy crap aired over dramatic music while Edge looked like a disembodied head floating amongst the candles. It was bad. Like, epically bad.
