2. Damage CTRL Is COOKED

How is the same company that has managed to almost perfectly book the Bloodline and all its intricate, interwoven stories for months now also incapable of even competently booking its women’s division – particularly its one notable faction – for one week?

Damage CTRL interrupted Rhea Ripley’s promo Monday night cutting into Charlotte Flair to assert that Raw was their show, not hers. The interaction was painful, with Bayley making a good point about how she beat Charlotte and her first WrestleMania (unlike Rhea), but it all fell apart from there.

The match between Ripley and Bayley wasn’t much better, as they struggled to get on the same page. Then, just as they seemed to get it back, Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus came out to eat popcorn and watch the match. The ostensible babyfaces eventually would brawl with the rest of Damage CTRL, providing a distraction that led to Bayley eating a Riptide for the loss.

This was terrible from all fronts. Ripley and Bayley looked to be speaking different languages in the ring, and the women’s tag champs and Trish looked like pricks rather than babyfaces, coming out to get involved in a heel/heel match and looking smug while doing it.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
