8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (20 March - Review)
7. Tale Of The Tape Does The Trick
When you’re talking about a spectacle of a match, a collision between two behemoths, a traditional build isn’t going to quite cut it. And a typical video package also isn’t going to be enough.
Brock Lesnar versus Omos is rightly being billed as a collision between two unique specimens who have different traits and intangibles. As good as WWE’s video packages usually are, the same old, same old wouldn’t work here, so we got something better: a tale of the tape-style package that built Lesnar up as an unstoppable monster, detailing his physical attributes and how they allowed him to dominate combat sports.
But then the video turned on a dime, noting that Brock has never faced anyone like Omos in his career. Omos’ physical presence was put into perspective, noting that he dwarfed legends such as Undertaker, Great Khali and others, and that he was two inches taller than Shaquille O’Neal – a visual that really puts everything into perspective.
The match that took place after the video against Mustafa Ali wasn’t even needed here, unless they were just looking to bury Ali a bit more because he dared to produce an awesome music video on social media earlier in the day.
