8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 10)
2. Forward Motion Would Be Nice
To follow on the opening promo that felt like it was a repeat of recent weeks, we also once again got to see a match involving Kevin Owens (and some combination of cohorts) losing to Seth Rollins’ army in Monday’s main event.
The eight-man tag match was fine from an action standpoint, and Rollins stealing the victory yet again is to be expected, but when you look back and realize that KO and his buddies have been on the losing end of this feud every week for more than a month, you have to wonder where this is leading, if anywhere at all.
The Viking Raiders have lost their Raw Tag Team Championships. Samoa Joe got injured. Owens has been on the losing end of these matches in four of the last five weeks. If they were outnumbered, you could understand, but they just keep getting outfoxed.
This isn’t a huge negative – KO getting the drop next week and turning the corner would absolve a lot of this, but between the promos and match outcomes, it’s getting a little to repetitive and is in need of some forward motion.
