8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 31)
5. Strowman Charts A Course
There’s still a long way to go, but WWE is actually doing something right with Braun Strowman. Let that sink in: WWE is doing something right in developing a wrestler.
Strowman is still green as grass, but they’ve brought him along slowly, having him demolish jobbers, but then have him demand more competition himself, forcing the issue directly with GM Mick Foley. And then, he got – and took advantage of – an opportunity in a 12-man battle royal, eliminating more than half the field himself to earn a spot on Team Raw at Survivor Series.
All of that makes for a steady increase in his presence on Raw in recent weeks, without exposing him too much or having him run roughshod over the roster. Strowman might pan out, or he might flame out. But for right now, at least he’s coming along.
