Playing a villain, Jericho has nonetheless managed to get numerous catchphrases and antics over, including “stupid idiot,” “Gift of Jericho” and “it.” But the biggest thing he’s done is turn a list of people and things that have aggrieved him into a popular part of Raw. So when fans erupted when Y2J teased putting Roman Reigns on the List of Jericho, he simply stopped and say that Reigns didn’t deserve to be on the list, and he put the clipboard down.

Hopefully, Jericho is giving superstars pointers on how to do stuff like this, recognizing how you have to tweak your gimmick along the way to get the desired reaction. It’s a subtle, lost art that guys like Jericho, Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin excelled at.
