8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Aug 8)

5. Legend Killer Versus Legendary Bada**

You’ve got to love Brock Lesnar’s no-nonsense promo videos. He doesn’t even take the energy to cut them like a wrestler. Instead, he just curses and degrades his opponent. It’s a pretty effective style, especially with Paul Heyman there to clean things up if needed.

Randy Orton, no slouch himself on the mic, did a nice job in their retrospective to sell his disgust with Lesnar for basically being a selfish, self-centered boor, and channeled his former persona, pledging to “kill the legend” of Brock Lesnar.

The video basically did the trick of continuing to simmer the feud between the two superstars and attempting to draw more interest in the SummerSlam match. Interestingly though, there was no reference to the thing that helped turn Lesnar into a “mega-superstar,” as he said: UFC. The MMA promotion was never mentioned.
